Ternopil is a cozy city in Western Ukraine, the administrative center of the Ternopil region. It is located on the Seret River, which creates a special atmosphere thanks to the large lake — Ternopil Pond, which is one of the main attractions of the city. Ternopil is known for its rich history, founded in 1540 by Polish magnate Jan Tarnowski as a defensive city. For centuries, Ternopil has been an important cultural and commercial center of Galicia, and its architecture preserves traces of different eras, such as the Austrian and Polish periods.
