Banska Bystrica

Banska Bystrica is famous for its rich cultural life and a large number of architectural monuments. One of them is the main city square dedicated to the participants of the Slovak National Uprising. Slovak National Uprising Square or just SNP Square is a great place to relax, buy souvenirs and dine in charming, cozy cafes. There is another interesting attraction - an inclined clock tower, dating from the 16th century. The city of Banska Bystrica itself is small. It is home to about 80,000 locals. It is the administrative, cultural, sports and civic center of the region, which has collected on its territory all the beauties and attractions, except, if only, the sea.
