Levocha is a small cozy town with a well-preserved center and many historical monuments of architecture. The city will surely appeal to travelers who would like, firstly, to see the picturesque nature of Slovakia, and secondly, to visit places with authentic local flavor and ancient history. Levoca has a well-preserved historic center with a city wall, a Gothic church with the world's tallest wooden altar carved by master Paul of Levoca, and many other Renaissance buildings. In 2009, together with Spissky Grad, the medieval monuments of Levoča formed a single object of the Universal Heritage of UNESCO.
