Weekend in Bratislava (1)

Weekend in Bratislava (1)

Bratislava is the capital and largest city of Slovakia. It has a population of more than 660,000 people and is the administrative, cultural and economic center of the country. Located on the border between Slovakia, Austria and Hungary, the city has been in the heart of empires since the first mention of it in the 10th century. Thus, Bratislava is a place of contrasts; in the center of the city there are medieval and Renaissance Old Town, as well as a business and shopping district with skyscrapers; on the outskirts there are both hillside villas and communist-era residential buildings. The route “Weekend in Bratislava” is designed for 2 days. This is the first part of the route where you will find the most prominent and interesting sights, including Bratislava Castle, the Bucks Tower, St. Martin's Cathedral, Slovak National Theater, SNP Bridge, St. Nicholas Church and many others.
