Walks in Poltava. Day 1

According to archaeological data, Poltava was founded by northerners back in 899. During the times of the Hetmanship, Poltava gained importance, being the center of the Poltava Regiment. After the decline and liquidation of the Hetmanate, it became a provincial city. And during the times of the Ukrainian national revival, Poltava became one of the most important cultural centers of all of Ukraine, because famous Ivan Kotlyarevsky, who became the founder of modern Ukrainian literature, lived and worked here. Today, Poltava is an extremely interesting city, rich in architectural and historical sights. To navigate among them and don't miss anything during the walk, these series of routes were created. First route includes Ivan Kotlyarevsky's manor-museum, the famous White Gazebo with an observation deck, a monument to the galushka, and the Church of the Holy Assumption.
