Reykjavik is the northernmost capital of the world, where geysers, lava fields and the Northern Lights are part of ordinary life. The city is small, but rich: it is easy to see art, the ocean, and the volcanic landscape in one day. Three places that are really surprising: Pearl is a glass dome on a hill, under which hot water is stored for the whole city. Inside there is a museum with a real glacier, a lava cave tunnel and a panorama of three hundred and sixty degrees. Harpa is an oceanfront concert hall whose glass facades change color depending on the lighting. The construction was completed in the eleventh year, and it immediately became a symbol of the city. Whales of Iceland is an exhibition where you can get close to the natural copies of twenty-three species of whales. Great for both adults and children. Interesting fact: Reykjavik is heated almost exclusively by geothermal energy — volcanoes literally heat the city from the inside. This route takes you from the observation dome over the city to dinner at an Italian restaurant by the ocean — and between these two points the entire city, with its museums, street art, whales and hot open-air sausages, fits in between. It is worth going through.
