Welcome to the first day of your trip to Ljubljana! Ljubljana is one of the greenest capitals in Europe and a city where the center is almost entirely pedestrianized. Because of this, there is no feeling of a big noisy metropolis: instead of traffic, there are bicycles, a river, bridges and open-air cafes along the promenade. The symbol of the city is the dragon, which, according to legend, lived here since the times of the Argonauts and Jason. And Ljubljana is one of the few capitals where the castle is located literally above the old town and constantly remains in sight during a walk. Today will be: Ljubljana Castle is the main historical point of the city with a panorama of the red roofs, the Alps and the center of Ljubljana. The triple bridge is one of the most famous architectural works of Joseph Plecnik and a real symbol of the city. The Dragon Bridge is a legendary bridge with four dragons that have become the main symbol of Ljubljana. Interesting fact: Only about 300 thousand people live in Ljubljana, but the city is consistently included in the lists of the most comfortable and environmentally friendly capitals of Europe.
