Congratulations on the second day of our trip to Budapest — here begins not just acquaintance, but immersion. Budapest has one of the oldest metro systems in Europe — the M1 line has been operating since 1896 and is a UNESCO heritage site. The city is also known for its “ruin bars” — establishments that opened in abandoned buildings without complete renovation, maintaining their authentic appearance. And here there is a strong contrast of areas: in a few minutes you can go from tourist streets to local neighborhoods, where life looks completely different. Today will be: The House of the Hungarian Parliament is a scale and details that are difficult to grasp at a glance. Margit Island is a break from the city in the middle of the Danube. Tram #2 is an easy way to see the main panoramas effortlessly. Little known fact: The parliament houses the crown of St. Istvan, one of the main relics of the country, which is guarded inside the building. Grab a coffee and go ahead — the day promises to be full!
