Congratulations on the first day in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, formed by the union of Buda, Pest and Obuda in 1873. The city stands on both banks of the Danube and is a UNESCO heritage site due to its architecture and panoramas. Budapest is also known for its role in the Austro-Hungarian Empire, which greatly influenced its appearance — hence the large-scale buildings, bridges and squares. Today will be: Fisherman's Bastion has panoramic terraces overlooking the Parliament and the Danube. The Chain Bridge is the first permanent bridge between Budu and Pest. St. Istvan's Basilica is the main temple of the country and an observation point. Little known fact: Budapest is the only capital of Europe where dozens of thermal baths are officially functioning, and some of them use the same springs as a few centuries ago. Have a good start — it will only be more interesting!
