Welcome to the second day of your trip to Copenhagen!
Today you will see another side of the city — royal, maritime and modern. It is on the island of Slotsholmen, where Kristiansborg Palace is located, that Danish power has been concentrated for more than 800 years: the parliament, the government and the Supreme Court work here. Copenhagen is unique in that the old royal quarters, historic canals and ultra-modern architecture exist side by side and form one of the most harmonious capitals in Northern Europe.
Today you will see:
Nyhavn is a famous 17th century harbor with colorful houses and wooden ships, which has become one of Copenhagen's main business cards
Kristiansborg Palace is the only building in the world that houses the Parliament, the Royal Halls and the Supreme Court of Denmark at the same time
CopenHill is a unique power station with a ski slope on the roof, which has become a symbol of the modern ecological architecture of the city
Interesting fact:
In Copenhagen, the water in the harbor is so clean that locals swim right in the city center — for this purpose there are special city pools.
We wish you to enjoy your second day in Copenhagen:)
