Cardiff is a city with a sea breath and a light rhythm: a compact center, generous parks and smiling signs in two languages. Here it is easy to walk and catch the mood of the city in one day.
The route “Dragon's Path” starts in the forest above the city near the fabulous Castel-Koch. After the photo there is a quick snack at Cicchetti by Trattoria and the quiet alleys of Insol Court. Next up is the Llandaff Cathedral and the Chapter Creative Space for coffee and a short stop for art.
From there, through the green corridor of Beauty Park, we lead to Alexandra Gardens, the buildings of Cardiff University and the National Museum of Cardiff with its impressive Impressionist collection. Cardiff Castle and a delicious selection at Cardiff Market await in the center; for an evening mood — author's drinks at The Botanist. Past the Princely Stadium, which has a sliding roof, we head to the bay.
In the Wales Millennium Centre you will recognize the façade with lines in Welsh, next to it is the Norwegian Church, where Roald Dahl was baptized. If you love science at your fingertips, take a look at Techniquest. Finish — Penart Pier with a gentle sea breeze; on the way back — a spicy dinner at The Sultan.
This day gathers Cardiff in the palm of your hand: from the forest towers to the salt breeze of the bay — simple and inspiring.
