Welcome to the third day of acquaintance with Dublin - this is one of the few European capitals where history is not preserved in museums, but literally lives on the streets: in pubs, libraries, bridges and parks.
Today you will see:
Dublin Castle is a place where Ireland has been ruled for centuries: the castle was a symbol of British rule and is now a space of Irish statehood and cultural events.
Temple Bar is an area that is often perceived as touristy, but in fact it is the heart of the city's culture, music and nightlife, where it is easy to feel the real rhythm of Dublin.
St Stephen's Green is a city park that was once a private garden for the aristocracy and today is the perfect place to catch your breath after a busy day.
Little known fact: Dublin is one of the few cities in the world where two major rivers (the Liffey and the Poddle) have historically defined not only the city's layout, but also its social division — even today, Dubliners sometimes jokingly divide the city into “north” and “south” rivers.
We wish you a pleasant walk!
