Best of Dublin - Day 1

Welcome to the first day of tourism in Dublin — a city that grew out of the small Viking settlement Dubh Linn (“black pond”) and turned into a cultural capital with a very dense history per square kilometer.
Today you will see:
Guinness Storehouse is not just a beer museum, but a well-designed history of industrial Dublin with a panoramic view of the city from the height of Gravity Bar.
Kilmainham Gaol is a key place for understanding modern Ireland: it housed the leaders of the rebellion, and it is these walls that explain why independence for the Irish is not an abstraction.
Phoenix Park is one of the largest urban parks in Europe with free walking deer and the residence of the President of Ireland.
Little known fact: Phoenix Park is larger than Central Park in New York, and Áras an Uachtaráin is one of the few presidential residences in the world where you can go on a tour without tight security and fences — a direct reflection of the Irish attitude to power.
We wish you a quiet, rich walk!
