Best of Ronda - Day 2
Route Details
3.6 km
46.9 m
Welcome to the second tourist day in Ronda, a city that has been formed for centuries on the border of defense, religion and everyday life. If the first day introduces you to the scale of Ronda, today you will see it from the inside: through courtyards, old temples, residential quarters and less obvious vantage points.
Today you will see:
• Baños Árabes de Ronda is one of the best preserved Arab bath complexes in Spain, showing what daily life of the city looked like during the Al Andalus period.
Casa del Gigante is a rare example of 13th century civilian Muslim architecture, found by chance during the reconstruction of the house.
• Palacio de Mondragón — a palace that combined Arab planning logic and Christian reconstruction after the Reconquista.
Little known fact:
Ronda has long been divided not only by Tahoe Gorge, but also socially: Areas on different sides of the canyon had their own markets, temples, and even a rhythm of life — which is why the city looks like several stories stitched together.
We wish you a thoughtful walk and a real immersion in the urban structure of Ronda.
