Bern is a city of calm confidence: the turquoise Aare envelops the Old Town, under the arcades it smells of coffee, and the rhythm allows you to be in no hurry. The route “Bern in one day” begins in the PROGR cultural center and in the Bern Art Museum, where it is easy to tune in to the creative waves. Next is the Botanical Garden and the cozy WerkStadt Lorraine. From there we go up to the Rose Garden with a panoramic view of the roofs, we go down to the Bear Park and to the Old Tram Depot for lunch overlooking the Aare. The Nidegg Bridge leads to Nidegg Church and trails to the Town Hall and Cathedral. In the center you will find the Clock Tower Zitglogge, the Einstein House, the Kefigturm Tower and the Church of the Holy Spirit. On Federal Square, you should linger near the fountains, and then walk to the Federal Palace and Park Kleine Schanze. The final is the Marzili baths, the Schwellenmettel terrace and the Museum of Communication with the Historical Museum.
Interesting to know: the Bernese arcades stretch for almost six kilometers - ideal for any weather. And it was here that Einstein, in the 1,000-ninety-fifth year, created works that changed science. Ready for a walk?
