The route “Geneva — the city of light and water” starts in Carugia: a morning walk through the Market of Caruzha and a visit to the Museum of Carugia set a warm mood. Next is the Patek Philippe Museum: the stories of watchmakers who teach to see time through the eyes of masters. Through the Bastion Park with the Wall of Reformers we go to the Old City: the Town Hall, the Tavel House and the underground archaeological route under St. Peter's Cathedral discover Geneva layer by layer. Nearby are the International Reformation Museum and the Museum of Art and History.
From the stairs of the cathedral we go down to the English Garden with the Flower Clock. In front is the fountain of Gé d'O, which raises a stream of more than one hundred and forty meters and plays with the sun on the waves. Cross the Mont Blanc Bridge, head along the lake to La Grange Park; if desired — further to the Botanical Garden. The final touch is the Palace of Nations and the “Broken Chair”, next to the Ariana Museum or the International Museum of the Red Cross and Red Crescent.
It is interesting to know: it was in Geneva that the Red Cross was born in the nineteenth century, and the European branch of the UN works here. End the day in the cozy Café du Soleil — the route will be remembered not only by the photo, but also by the taste.
