Welcome to Paris, the capital of light, art and revolution, a city that receives more than 30 million tourists every year.
On our first day of walking around the city we will see:
The majestic Notre Dame Cathedral, the true heart of Paris, which has been built for almost 200 years and that has survived revolutions, wars and fires.
Saint-Chapelle is a royal chapel, where stained glass covers more than 600 square meters and creates the feeling that the walls are made of light.
The Pantheon is the temple of glory in France, where Victor Hugo, Voltaire, Rousseau, Maria Curie and other geniuses who changed the world rest.
Interestingly, under the streets of Paris hides a real “underground city”: catacombs and former quarries, more than 300 km long. Only a small part of them is open to visitors, but they are the reason that the city does not sink, because the land under Paris is literally studded with tunnels.
So, our first day of the route reveals the main symbols of Paris, but it is only the beginning of a great journey. There are still many amazing discoveries ahead, and each subsequent day will bring new experiences and stories.
