Brussels is a cozy capital with a taste of chocolate and waffles, where Art Nouveau facades, green squares and lively coffee shops create a light urban mosaic. It is the heart of the European Union with character: quiet boulevards, praline showcases, beer traditions and friendly multilingualism. The “Pearls of Brussels: From the Town Hall to the Atomium” route connects the medieval core around the Town Hall with the northern quarters of Lacen; along the way you will also see the Galle Gate, the artistic hills and the royal alleys — all easily passed in the same rhythm of the city. Three stops that fall in love: - Grand Place. The UNESCO-listed square shines with guild facades and the Town Hall. Once every two years in August, it is covered by a giant carpet of begonias — a sight that smells of summer. - Museum of musical instruments. A pearl of art nouveau in the former department store “Old England”: an elevator in a lace metal lantern, a roof with a view, and in the halls you can hear the sounds of exhibits. - Mini Europe. Miniature park with moving trains and ships. Nearby stands the Atomium in the shape of an iron crystal — the legacy of the world exhibition of the 1,000th year. Interesting fact: Brussels is officially bilingual, so the names of streets and establishments are duplicated in French and Dutch — an express language course just during the walk.
