Best of Zagreb - Day 1

Welcome to our first day in Zagreb! It was formed as two separate settlements: Hradec and Kaptol, which for a long time competed with each other, and later merged into one city. That is why the center looks a little “divided”, but this is its logic.
Zagreb is interesting because there is almost no tourist pressure here — even in the center you see more locals than tourists. And because of this, many locations do not look like a museum, but as part of everyday life.
Today will be:
Bana Yelachich Square is the main point of the city, where everything intersects: transport, people, rhythm.
St. Mark's Church is one of the most famous buildings with a roof that looks like a separate attraction.
The Divorce Museum is the most atypical museum, where people's stories are often stronger than the expositions.
Interesting fact:
In Zagreb, every day at exactly noon, a cannon is fired from the Lotrschak tower — it used to be a signal to close the city gates, but now it's just a tradition that has not been canceled.
Pleasant impressions!
