Welcome to the first day of your trip to Rotterdam!
Rotterdam is the second largest city in the Netherlands and the largest port in Europe. After large-scale bombings in 1940, the historic center was almost completely destroyed, so the city was rebuilt anew, which is why Rotterdam became a laboratory of modern architecture.

Cube Houses are one of the most famous architectural experiments in Europe, where the houses are tilted at an angle of 45° and create a real “forest of cubes”.
Markthal is a unique market and gastronomic space, housed in a huge arched building with a giant artistic ceiling, often referred to as the “Sistine Chapel of Food”.
Rotterdam Maritime Museum is a museum that tells the history of Europe's largest port through ships, marine technology and exhibits right in the old harbor.
Interesting fact:
The port of Rotterdam is so large that if you drive along it by car, the road can take more than 40 km — it is one of the largest and most important ports in the world.
