Lisbon is a city of light and long shadows on the cobblestones, where the Atlantic breeze refreshes every ascent. The route “Lisbon: City of Seven Hills” will take you from the greenery of the Lisbon Zoo and the tranquility of the Eduardo Seventh Park to the open horizons of Belém. Coffee at Simpli will add a step, and at the National Museum of Azuzu you will understand why ceramic tiles have become the calling card of Portugal. Next, we climb to the Castle of St. George for the panoramas, take a look at Lisbon Cathedral, descend to the Santa Justa Lift and the Gloria Funicular — short climbs save your knees and open up city views. After the Basilica of Estrella and the creative energy of the LX Factory, the path leads to the Twenty-fifth of April Bridge, and then to MAAT and the Tagus Power Plant, where the industrial architecture surprises with its comfort and photogenicity. Finish in Belém: near the National Carriage Museum and the Belem Tower meets the river and the wind; sweeten the finish with a cake at O Bolo da Marta.
