Long ago, Vinnytsia was one of the important centers of Podillia, and during the Hetmanship it became a regimental town. A significant page in its history is the heroic defense in 1651, when during the defense, the 3,000-strong Cossack army was able to defeat the many times superior Poles. It is also worth mentioning that during the Ukrainian liberation struggle Vinnytsia housed the government of the Ukrainian People's Republic for some time. Today, Vinnytsia is a beautiful and comfortable city, which is considered one of the best places to live in Ukraine. In addition, there are many curiosities from different eras that are definitely worth getting to know. The first route includes the building of the Savoy Hotel, which once housed the government of the Ukrainian People's Republic, the Independence Square and the Podillia Botanical Garden.
